Each card in the tarot deck has a phrase of intention associated with it, which captures some of the core, essential meaning of the card. This phrase, written by Davis Carr, was turned into a sigil by Erin Alise. This image was then as the base layout of the card itself, creating the outline of the cards, over which Erin drew the full illustration for the card.

Sigils are a magical image created by combining the letters in the phrase of intention. Through the sigil-making process, the intention is fused with the image, ultimately helping to channel that meaning into the world and make it manifest in our lives.
