Make Magic / Make Art is a small group course beginning on March 12th and ending April 15th, where creatives of any kind can learn how to use divination, the esoteric, and witchery to stay inspired in uncertain times and share more of their artistic gifts with the world.
You’ll learn simple and accessible ways to use symbolism, divination, rhythmic living, and spell craft to inspire your artistic practice and create a set of tools you can turn to again and again when you feel blocked.
You’ll have access to me and my extensive witchy research, as well as a Discord community of like-minded folx who want to grow, explore, and share more of their magic and art. The Discord community is a space for vulnerability, realness, asking questions, learning, answering daily prompts, sharing your work, networking with lovely humans, and building meaningful connections.
I BELIEVE THAT MAGIC IS THE KEY TO FORGING A CONNECTION TO THE STREAM OF INSPIRATION AND A SENSE OF POSSIBILITY, WHICH IS ESSENTIAL TO CREATIVE OUTPUT.
WHAT YOU GET when you enroll in mm/ma
YOU MIGHT BE THINKING…
What if I'm new to witchery?
What if I don’t want to share my creative work quite yet or ever?
What if I am not an experienced artist and just want to explore my inner creative through the lens of magic and the esoteric?
What if I am creatively blocked RIGHT NOW?
What if I know some things about witchery but want a new perspective on magic built around creativity and purposeful connection?
What if I am not a visual artist?
IS THIS CLASS FOR YOU?
SHORT ANSWER: YES.
This class is about art, but it's also not really about MAKING art. It's about opening yourself to possibility, to accessing the stream of ideas and magic that exists, ready for all of us to dip into. It's about trusting your gut and practicing magic as a way to align yourself more completely with your purpose, and therefore find more certainty around the creative work you do.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE ART TO TAKE THIS COURSE.
You do not have to create a single work of art during this course. You absolutely can, and will be encouraged to share what you make if you do, but this class is about exploration, play, and getting inspired. Hopefully that leads to artistic output, but if it doesn't happen this month, that's OKAY. Getting unstuck is a process. Building the confidence in your ideas to manifest them without fear can take time. We're here to make magic, knowing that to make magic is, in its own way, to make art. There's a reason it's called witchCRAFT
STILL NOT SURE IF MM/MA IS RIGHT FOR YOU? HERE’S WHAT PAST STUDENTS HAVE SAID:
“The biggest thing - that making magic is making art and making art is making magic and if you can't seem to make art, you can always make magic. It is so empowering. I would recommend this class to any witch and any magic- leaning artist. It transformed my approach to my creative practice (which is something everyone can and should have). It helped me push past blocks I didn't even know were there.” - SAMANTHA
“Erin has created a beautiful, supportive, and expansive container for growing your art making and magicpractices with MAKE MAGIC / MAKE ART. The materials are thoughtful and informative while being accessible to witches and art makers of all kinds, shapes, and levels of experience. I felt incredibly seen and supported by this wonderful group of humans and by Erin's facilitation and guiding hand, even as a baby witch who was initially a little apprehensive about claiming that title. The gentle invitations and guides to reclaiming both my magic and creative practices was everything I had hoped for, and more. And bonus - I got to bond with a beautiful community at the same time! I look forward to returning to MMMA as a guiding light when I am blocked, stuck or feeling unsure of myself creatively or otherwise. I would recommend this course to any creative person I know and anyone looking to build more intention into their lives, even if they don't identify as a witch. Throughout MMMA, Erin kept reminding us that the world needs our art, and I'd like to add that I think the world needs MMMA as a companion to its art and intention.” - MORGAN
“As a baby witch--someone who has just begun to explore this world--I delighted in Erin's thorough and approachable materials and delivery of witchcraft basics, and I'm enjoying applying what I learned to my creative practice. For the past several weeks I've been able to devote attention and energy to my writing life in a consistent and satisfying way, and I'm certain this has everything to do with the tools I picked up in MMMA. As a teacher myself, I was deeply inspired and impressed by Erin's ability to create a sense of community and a safe space for sharing ideas and information during this class. Though we were only together for four weeks, our group felt bonded by a sense of mutual appreciation and support. I know I'm going to keep digging into what I learned and experienced in this class for a long time to come, and I've already told several friends about this opportunity. Thank you so much, Erin!” - SUSANNAH
“I signed up for this class because I was constantly running away from my creative process. The thought of sitting down with myself to make art, made me avoid this part of myself for a long time, and in turn I felt insecure and disconnected. Working with Erin during this class taught me to see the magic and strength that was already within me, and gave me tools to reach for it when it seems impossible to access. Crafting and making magic in community provided me with a sense of security, and that’s not to mention all the growth that has happened due to the conversations we’ve started. Erin knows how to lead a group, and she has the ability to hold space for everyone’s magicto come through. Saturdays became my favorite days.” - JESS

Erin Alise is a working artist and witch who is best known for her first oracle deck, The Hollow Valley Deck of Symbols which was released in 2018. It is her belief that to make art is to make magic, and has been practicing magic/divination in some capacity for a decade.
Erin became deeply involved with witchery in 2015 during a period of intense anxiety and alongside a diagnosis of panic disorder, finding that tarot provided a way to organize her thoughts and connect to her intuitive sense of knowing. She has continued expanding her knowledge of the esoteric since, and has experience in tarot, essence making, spell crafting, sigil witchery, symbolism, and Traditional Witchcraft practices.
She now teaches workshops on empowered sigil making and all of the ways that spell work and magic can help us unlock our creative purpose and stay connected to the stream of inspiration, even when our nervous systems feel challenged.
